A ceremony to celebrate an individual’s life turned into a massive brawl and left at least one Chicago police officer bloodied and bruised.

According to CBS Chicago, the service was taking place at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in West Garfield Park. Police were called around 12:30 p.m. after a fight broke out inside the church.
