A Chicago police officer shot himself in the buttocks on Tuesday afternoon, no doubt firing up a renewed level of interest in Forrest Gump quotes at his department.
The on-duty officer was working on the city’s Far South Side when he discharged his weapon, sending the round into the officer’s buttocks and thigh.
According to ABC 7, the officer was taken to Christ Hospital and is reported to be in good condition.
The incident is under investigation.
