Crowds have begin attempting to swarm the Capitol Building in Washington, all while lawmakers begin the process of certifying the electoral votes.
Reports from on the ground indicate that the fencing on the west side of the Capitol Plaza was breached by angry protesters attempting to gain access.
The Cannon House Office Building and Madison Library of Congress Building were briefly evacuated following threats and suspicious packages being found at the sites.
According to FOX News, the Capitol Police have so far been successful in keeping the crowds at bay, though it is unknown how long they will hold.
The entire Capitol plaza has reportedly been closed, even to members attempting to go into the chamber for the Congressional session.
