One Call of Duty player in Brazil took the “Favela” mode to a whole new level- by killing his female rival and uploading a graphic video to social media.
18-year-old Guilherme Alves Costa is being held responsible for the brutal stabbing of 19-year-old rival Oliveira Bueno da Silva, who was visiting his Sao Paulo home for a filmed match of Call of Duty: Mobile.
Upon witnessing the murder, many gamers notified the authorities.
“You’re thinking it’s ink or that it’s edited or something, but it’s not,” Costa said.
Costa then proudly admitted to the murder and claimed he had some sort of manifesto to share.
“I really killed her, got it? I’ve got a book, too. I asked some people to share it. I hope you read it. It contains some truths,” he said.
The manifesto was an admission of sorts, stating that Costa had planned the murder and was tired of a listless life.
According to the New York Post, Costa initially was going to take his own life, but his brother talked him out of it.
