Sacramento police are trying to determine what happened to cause a gunman to fire into a downtown crowd and who that gunman is.
According to USA Today, six people are dead and nine others injured after it sounded like a semi-automatic weapon fired into a crowd.
Police closed off eight blocks of the downtown capital of California. Police have not said whether or not they have made any arrests or have identified a suspect.
Videos posted on social media show people running in a panic away from the scene. Another shows a fight break out. It appears there are roughly 20 people pushing back and forth. After a few people fall onto the street, you can hear bullets begin to ring out and people start to flee.
