Two men have been arrested in Houston for allegedly stealing an iPad.  They were identified by the selfies they took with the device that were automatically uploaded to the owner’s iCloud account.

The Associated Press  reported the pair of thieves stole the iPad, other electronics and thousands of dollars from the victim’s truck on January 8.  They were eventually arrested on Wednesday.

The suspects had discarded some of the stolen items behind a Starbucks.  It is believed that the iPad connected to the coffee house’s free Wi-Fi and the images were synched to the victim’s iCloud account.  Some of the photos showed the men holding $100 bills by their teeth.

According to NBC DFW, the victim shared the images with the media. The photos ended up online, assisting authorities in identifying the suspects.
