
UPDATE:
According to ABC7 News the U.S. Marshal shot earleir this morning has died from his injuries.
The suspect remains barricaded inside a vehicle off an Illinois interstate.

Officials have not released the named of the McHenry County Sheriff’s deputy, who is also part of the U.S. Marshal task force in the area, who passed.

An early morning active shooter situation has left a U.S. Marshal in critical condition after being shot and now a search is underway for the shooter.
A U.S. Marshal Task Force was at a Rockford hotel to execute an arrest warrant.
When the Marshals knocked on the door the man, identified as Floyd Brown, opened fire.
The U.S. Marshal’s Task Force was trying to serve an arrest warrant on Floyd Brown of Springfield this morning at Extended Stay America hotel when a member of the task force was shot. One of the Marshals was struck and is currently in critical condition.
A woman was also inside the room and suffered a gunshot wound as well.
Brown then escaped the room and fled in a vehicle.
As of the 2:00 p.m. press briefing, Brown is now in a barricaded situation with police.
