Two New Haven police officers have been shot and a barricaded suspect is in a standoff with SWAT and negotiators after he shot his wife multiple times.
The suspect’s wife ran to a neighbor’s house where she called 911 during the initial incident where she was shot. When the responding officers arrived and entered the suspect’s home, he opened fire on the officers, striking them both in the arms.
The victim was shot in the hand, arm, chest and back, according to NBC 4 New York.
The SWAT team and negotiators have been called in to deal with the suspect.
The officers are expected to recover.
