Update: One of the deputies has died, the other is in critical condition.
Reports indicate the suspect managed to get the deputy’s gun while they were loading into a transport van at the juvenile courthouse.
Earlier:
Two Wyandotte County Sheriff’s deputies were shot in downtown Kansas City, Kansas this morning. The suspect was also shot.
All three have been taken to local hospitals in unknown condition.
The shooting took place near the Wyandotte County Courthouse, possibly by the Juvenile Court building, where there continues to be a heavy police presence.
The shooting took place during a transport from the court to the jail, a source told FOX4.
