Update: Authorities have confirmed that one adult and two children were shot, and the suspect is now in custody, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Schenectady police in upstate New York are searching for a gunman who is said to be heavily armed, after he shot up to 5 people, including one child.
The conditions of the gunshot victims is unknown at this time.
SWAT responded to the corner of Union Street and Brandwine Ave after getting calls that multiple people had been shot at approximately 1:00 p.m., according to reports.
Officers surrounded a nearby home but later determined the suspect, described as a “large, black male,” fled in a gray or silver SUV, according to the Times Union. The suspect is also reported to have at least two firearms in his possession.
