Toronto Police say two people have been injured and it has arrested two suspects after gunshots rang out during a championship parade for the Toronto Raptors.
Toronto Police tweeted out that both victims suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Officers also recovered two firearms at the scene, though they are still completing the investigation.
Video on social media shows the crowd scrambling for safety.
According to KATV, the celebration, which drew an estimated two million people downtown, was briefly stopped while police and first responders reacted to the shooting. Celebration speeches restarted soon after.
