A Baltimore High School staffer was shot and is in serious condition after an adult visitor tired to get inside Friday afternoon.
The school was quickly put on lockdown after the shooting.
According to the Baltimore Schools Twitter account, the students and staff of Frederick Douglass High School are safe and that the suspect has been arrested. Students have been sent home early because of the shooting.
According to WBFF, the shooting happened near one of the school’s buildings as the suspect tried to gain access inside.

WBFF says there are reports that the shooting was related to a mediation meeting between the 56-year-old hall monitor and the 25-year-old suspect.

Police have not identified the injured staffer, who is listed in serious condition, or the suspect.
