Update (4:11 p.m. EST) – SWAT has breached the front door and a Miami Police Department negotiation team is attempting to make contact.
An ongoing hostage situation in the Little Haiti section of Miami has led to a large police response as well as the lockdown of local schools.
According to reports a person they believe to be the bar manager is holding a dozen customers and employees against their will.

According to a statement by the Miami PD, “following a robbery of cell phone outside of the establishment, Joseph Restaurant, our officers were contacted by a female who came out and stated that they are being held hostage by management.”
