
Update: The Palo Alto Police Department has tweeted that there is no active shooter and that the VA Palo Alto has cancelled their response.

Earlier: A shelter in place text alert has been issued to employees at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs hospital.
Law enforcement officers are responding to the scene, according to NBC Bay Area.
Employees at the VA Palo Alto have been ordered to shelter in place due to a report of an active shooter. I’m locked in the office and safe.

No information has been released other than the initial active shooter report and that employees received the text alert stating, “this is not a drill.
