Breaking: Police in New Jersey responding to active shooter at UPS facility

UPDATE (12:30 p.m.) – Two female hostages have been rescued and the suspect is now in custody after being shot by police.

Both women are “ok,” according to authorities.

Earlier:
Multiple new outlets are reporting that the ongoing active shooter situation at a New Jersey UPS facility is the result of a domestic dispute between the suspect and his ex-girlfriend.

The suspect is reportedly currently holding her and possibly one other person hostage.

Earlier:
Police are surrounding a UPS facility in Gloucester County, New Jersey in response to an active shooter situation.

No verified reports have come out detailing what is going on inside the warehouse, described as a ‘supply chain processing facility’ in Logan Township. However SWAT and other officers can be seen taking cover with their guns drawn.

Local schools have been put on modified lockdown.

UPS has issued a statement:

“UPS is working with law enforcement as they respond to an active shooter situation at one of the company’s supply chain processing facilities in Logan Township, New Jersey. We cannot provide information about the identity of people involved at this time.”
