A Raleigh, NC police officer and one other person, likely the suspect, have been shot and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Raleigh Police Department officials said the officer was responding to a report of a person with a gun when gunfire erupted between the two.
Several unconfirmed social media posts indicate that the officer was shot in the leg and the suspect was shot in the head/face area.
