UPDATE: 7:55 EST: There are at least 10 dead including the suspect in the mass shooting at shopping center in Munich, Berlin. It is now believed the shooter acted alone, contrary to earlier reports that there were 3 shooters.
UPDATE: 3:25 EST: German police are confirming the death of 8 individuals in today’s shooting spree. There are currently 3 shooters on the loose.
UDPATE: 2:20 EST: German police are reporting they don’t know where the shooters are. They are also telling citizens to avoid ‘public places.’
Witnesses are reporting there were 3 shooters and the attacks that have killed an unknown number of people happened in at least two locations.
UPDATE 2:10 EST: Fox News is reporting witnesses are describing multiple shooters conducted the terrorist attack at the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum shopping mall in Munich, Germany. Initial reports indicated only one shooter.
EARLIER: It’s being reported that 10 to 15 people are dead in a mass shooting at a popular shopping mall in Munich, Germany.
The incident is currently taking place at the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum shopping mall. Fox News is reporting that the shooter is not in custody and still on the loose.
This follows the recent ISIS-inspired train attack by a 17-year-old “lone wolf” terrorist in Germany.
The German political scene has been in upheaval over their open immigration policy for migrants from areas war-torn by ISIS followed by a rise in sexual assaults and terror attacks on German citizens.
Fox News is reporting that the situation is ongoing. It is not yet known if this is an ISIS-related attack, but it has some of the hallmarks of the group’s tactics.
