UPDATE: Update: One female student was shot and the shooter, another female student, took their own life. A law enforcement officer was was also shot in friendly fire, according to the Alpine Avalanche.

There is an active shooter situation at Alpine High School in West Texas after at least one suspect opened fire, shooting at least one victim.

Brewster County Sheriff’s Office is stating that there may be two shooting suspects. The shooting victim has been rushed to the hospital.
The school is under lockdown and students are being evacuated. Other area schools are also currently under lockdown.
This is a breaking story that we will update as more information becomes available.
In a separate incident, a student at Perry High School in Pittsburgh was shot outside the school and ran inside to seek help. That student has been transported to Allegheny General Hospital in serious condition.
