Two Tucson police officers were struck by gunfire Thursday morning while conducting an investigation at a complex on the city’s south side.
One of the officers was shot in the leg and is in good condition the other was shot in the chest/shoulder area and is in serious condition and undergoing surgery.

A Tucson PD spokesman said the suspect suffered a life-threatening injury as well.
Drivers and residents have been asked to avoid the area as the department investigates the shooting.
Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus is expected to brief the media on the incident shortly.
