A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to the stabbing murder of a Barnard College freshman, according to authorities.
The teenage boy -who has been accused of being involved in the killing 18-year-old Tessa Majors- was found with a knife on his person when he was picked up in the lobby of a building near the crime scene.
According to a police source speaking with the New York Post, the teen was taken to the precinct on weapons and trespassing charges, but later confessed to the murder.
The teen claimed that he and two friends tried to rob Majors, but ultimately ended up stabbing her.
Stabbed several times, Majors fell limp at the base of a stairwell and attempted to climb the stairs before running out of strength. She was noticed by a security guard and rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
