Boulder police in standoff with an active shooter at Colorado grocery store

An “active shooter” has been reported at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado.

Police report the shooter being at the King Soopers at 3600 Table Mesa Dr in Boulder.

A police source told ABC News that officers responded to a report of someone shot in the parking area, and when they arrived at the scene, a suspect opened fire on them.

The University of Colorado Boulder notified students via text message to avoid the area due to an active shooter situation.

AirTracker7 said three medevac helicopters were called in and were landing at Boulder High School, according to The Denver Channel.

A shirtless man with a bloodied leg was escorted in handcuffs to an ambulance by officers at the scene on CBS‘ live broadcast.
