May 02–Deputies are searching for a man accused of shooting at a Flagler County deputy from a moving car, then crashing that vehicle and carjacking another at gunpoint Monday.
“I encourage him to turn himself in before he or someone else gets hurt,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement. “We will find him and bring him to justice. If he shoots at one of my deputies, we will shoot back.”
A deputy was on duty and standing at the front door of a home on London Drive in Palm Coast when Haire allegedly drove by and fired at him, Chief Mark Strobridge said. The deputy and the home’s residents, who were not identified, was unharmed. The deputy’s vehicle was struck however, according to multiple reports.
Haire could be driving a dark blue 2013 Ford Fiesta with a Florida tag that reads EEYR82, deputies said.
Deputies from St. Johns and Putnam counties are helping look for Haire as well.
Anyone with more information about Haire’s whereabouts can call the Flagler County Sheriff’s office at 386-313-4911 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-888-277-8477.
