A teenage girl upset at her mother was shot by a Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy after she ran at the deputies with a raised knife in her hand.
According to WYFF, the June officer-involved-shooting started after the mother called 911 saying her daughter was threatening to hurt her with a knife.
The teen then ran away before deputies could arrive on the scene, though they tracked her down to a dead-end road.
Deputies tried to talk the teen down and even used a taser to try to subdue her.
Eventually, the teen then raised the knife in her hand and began to charge at the deputies.
One deputy fired a round into the teen, who then fell to the ground screaming in pain.
The teen, who has not been identified, survived and will face assault and attempted murder on officers charges.
