The Oklahoma Police Department has released body cam video of their officers breaching a home on August 13th, rescuing a boy and woman, and taking down a man suspected of holding them hostage and firing a gun at officers.

According to News 9, the officers heard a couple of shots as they prepared to make entry into the barricaded home. Officers then see a 13-year-old boy run towards them and out to safety.

A woman could be heard screaming in terror, prompting the officers to treat the situation as an active hostage situation and move into the home.

Officers help the woman out of the house while the suspect, identified as Terrance Harris, make a desperate escape out the back.

Surrounding officers were waiting for him. Harris then fired a gun at those awaiting officers. Five officers returned fire, striking and injuring Harris.

He was taken to the hospital and is recovering. No officers were injured, though the five officers were placed on administrative leave, which is a common practice when an officer uses deadly force.

Harris faces multiple charges.
