A family and lawmaker are outraged after watching video of the Chandler PD SWAT team bust into a home to pull a two-year-old boy away from their family and rush him to the hospital.

That boy had not received his vaccinations and was running a 105-degree fever.

The SWAT team was called in because a doctor reported the issue to police and said the boy’s life may be in jeopardy due to the actions of his family.

According to KNXV, Arizona allows Child Safety to issue a search warrant and remove a child from their home in a non-emergency situation.

According to the DCS report, a doctor called the department after a mother brought the boy to see him because he was running a 105-degree fever. That doctor told the mother to get the child to the emergency room. She decided not to after the boy’s fever broke.

Seeing how the boy was unvaccinated and nearly died the first time, the doctor called DCS.

The boy had an upper respiratory infection, not meningitis, which the doctor feared.

The boy is in the hospital recuperating.

Now the family is going through the process to get the boy back.
