An Arizona County Prosecutor will not seek charges against a Marana officer who fatally shot a man with a knife.
According to KGUN, the officer was responding to a call of a knife attack inside a home.
The officer found three people alive, two of them with stab wounds. One unarmed man was crawling out toward his front yard and a man with a knife and woman were laying on the living room floor.
The officer saw the suspect, identified as Juan Padilla, with a knife in his hand. He shouted multiple commands for Padilla to drop the weapon.
The man attempted to stand up and was telling the officer to go ahead and shoot him.
The officer then used deadly force under the determination that Padilla had no concern for his own life.
