Arizona DPS has released body cam video of a 2017 traffic stop that turned into a carjacking and wild shootout with police.
According to AZfamily.com, Marco Ruiz-Zazueta and Rodolfo Ballardo were pulled over on their way home from buying meth and heroin.
The state trooper asked the driver, Ruiz-Zazueta, to step out of the car after Ballardo gave him a fake name.
While the trooper and Ruiz-Zazueta were talking, Ballardo stepped out and began shooting at the trooper.
The trooper was unharmed and was able to arrest Ruiz-Zazueta.
Ballardo then took off down the road in the stolen vehicle. He eventually ditched it and carjacked a semi-truck.
A border patrol agent was able to fatally shoot Ballardo before he could take off in the semi-truck.
