Body cam of wild 30 minute shootout between police and murder suspect released

Body cam video involving three sets of officers, including border patrol agents, state troopers, and La Paz County Sheriff’s deputies, has been released showing their 30 minute shootout with a murder suspect.

According to KNXV, the incident happened in November of 2017 near a rest stop off a major highway.

Law enforcement fired so many bullets that many of the officers had only a couple of bullets left before they were out of ammo.

Officers had cornered Sladjan Petkovic after he murdered his neighbor over a parking dispute.

He had apparently dropped his wife and kids off, swapped cars, and was fleeing towards California when officers intercepted him.

Petkovic was shot multiple times during the firefight but did survive.

Not a single officer was injured.

Petkovic is currently waiting for his trial.
