A Naples, Florida grandmother is facing serious charges after crashing her BMW into another vehicle with her 10-year-old grandson in the car and failing a field sobriety test.
According to Daily Mail, 49-year-old Patricia Ebel was driving her grandson home after a pool day when she crashed her luxury vehicle into another car that was stopped at an intersection.
Wearing nothing but a bikini, she refused to take a breathalyzer test and failed every field-sobriety-tests administered to her by Collier County Sheriff Deputies. Deputies also noted Ebel “reeked like booze.”
Ebel and her grandson walked away from the crash unharmed, but her luxury black BMW 5-Series was totaled. The driver of the car she hit was taken to the hospital, albeit with no life threatening injuries.
Ebel is currently facing DUI charges including driving with a .15-or-greater blood alcohol content with a minor in the car. Ebel’s grandson ran to give her a hug before she was taken away by officers.
