Memphis police have released the bodycam video of the interview they conducted with a 17-year-old who said he was jumped by NBA star Ja Morant and other members of his entourage.

According to the teen’s statement, the altercation happened during a basketball game at Morant’s home. Apparently, he and Morant’s father began jawing at one another during the game, which took place over the summer.

Officers were stunned that the teen would be accusing the NBA star and asked multiple times if the teen knew it was Morant who threw the first punch.

The victim stated the assault lasted about 30 seconds before he left the property.

This was one incident that started a downward spiral for Morant. Soon after the news of this incident came out, Morant posted a video of him waving guns at a strip club and other troubling stories about his behavior. He was suspended eight games and stepped away from his troublesome friends and family.

Since his return, Morant has played well and stayed out of trouble.
