In light of the economic crisis that is forcing government of Atlantic City to shut down, police and firefighters are finding themselves forced to go three weeks without pay from April 8th to May 2nd.

Despite the difficulties that surround such a situation, The Chelsea Pub and Inn in Atlantic City is doing their part to help the beleaguered first responders.

Tagged in a Facebook post by one of their employees was the following statement:

“In support of our dedicated Atlantic City police and fire departments who, for the next few weeks, are selflessly working without pay, we at the Chelsea Pub would like to thank you and invite you, while on duty, to stop by for a complimentary meal until the city is back on its feet. Thanks for having our backs out there.”

While unable to divulge more information at this time, employees confirmed that the invite was in fact true and that the pub would be serving uniformed fire and police personnel throughout the crisis.
