A police officer in White Hall, Arkansas has been suspended after posing in a clown suit and posting the photograph on social media.

28-year-old Dustin Summers used “poor judgment” and has been disciplined, the dept said in a statement about the matter.

According to KATV— Summers was at a gathering at his parent’s home, when the photo of him dressed as a clown, was taken.

The picture was reportedly taken just days after the police dept. received calls about creepy clown sightings in the area.

Lt. Mark Bradley told the local ABC station that an internal investigation has been launched, but so far, no evidence has been found linking the officer to the “recent reported clown sightings in the White Hall, Pine Bluff area.”

Summers– who was first hired as a school resource officer in 2012– has been suspected without pay.

  1. Suspended….for WHAT??

He was at a PRIVATE gathering, someone took his picture and posted it.

The man did nothing wrong! This is a classic case of brass over-reaction.

  2. I agree. I hope there’s more to this story that would explain “suspected” without pay. Dressing like a clown at a family gathering doesn’t sound like a reasonable offense deserving this kind of punishment.
