A New Jersey police officer and his family experienced some really bad customer service from an American Airlines gate attendant after the attendant called him a killer and said the officer “might kill me.”
According to WREG, Theresia Tirado and her husband approached the attendant after their flight was redirected to Memphis and one of their bags didn’t make it to the airport.
The family and the attendant got into a small verbal altercation which escalated with the attendant going on a rant about his children being doctors and lawyers. Tirado’s husband interjected and pointed out he was a police officer, to which the attendant responded: “that means you’re a killer.”
The husband immediately started recording the exchange on his phone and posted the video to Twitter.
The family has also reached out to American Airlines, where it says they will send the attendant for more customer service training.
