Witnesses say the whole thing happened in under 10 minutes at the West Market Street Circle K early Sunday morning in Akron.
About 30-70 juveniles all at once rushed the store — grabbing things from the shelves, then tossing the items while running around the parking lot like “wild children.”
During their theft of about $200 worth of items, the suspects trashed the place, and damaged store shelves.
Police say their loot appeared to be mainly chips and candy.
A couple captured video of the scene from their car after pumping gas at the store, according to Newsnet5.
“I don’t know where they came from. They stole a bunch of candy. They just stole a bunch of stuff and are trashing the gas station right now,” a woman can be heard saying in the video.
