A California actress who starred on TV’s ER was shot and killed by South Pasadena Police yesterday afternoon, after the starlet pulled a replica firearm on them during a wellness check.
Vanessa Marquez was the subject of a police-related shooting after officers were called to her location due to reports of someone having a seizure.
With the aid of a mental health care worker, officers attempted to help her for over ninety minutes, noting that the 49-year-old was “extremely uncooperative.”
According to the Daily Mail, the starlet grabbed the BB-firing replica pistol and aimed it at police, forcing the officers to fire in self defense.

Marquez is best known for playing nurse Wendy Goldman alongside George Clooney on the popular NBC medical drama ER between 1994 and 1997.
The actress was reportedly suffering from health issues prior to her untimely demise. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will reportedly handle the post-shooting investigation.
Marquez had recently made headlines for claiming she had been blacklisted by George Clooney for #metoo statements about harassment on the set of ER.
