Update 10/7/2021: According to the Daily Mail, the deputy has been fired by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
An on-duty deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is currently sitting out a suspension while investigators look into an alleged sexual escapade at Universal Studios- one that was recorded for dipatch to hear on a “hot mic.”
The unnamed deputy was reportedly getting frisky with an unidentified woman at the Bates Motel section of the Universal Studios lot, located in Los Angeles.
During the encounter, the deputy did not realize his microphone was transmitting, and the romp was caught on audio recording.
“Oh,” a woman can be heard giggling. “Oh, my goodness!”
After a period of moaning and heavy breathing filling the airwaves, dispatch attempted to contact callsign 95 Ocean.
“95 Ocean, you have an open mic,” the dispatcher can be heard saying. “95 Ocean, you have an open mic. Take care of mic.”
According to the New York Post, the deputy has been removed from duty and is under investigation.
“The deputy was immediately relieved of duty and an administrative investigation has been opened,” sheriff’s officials said. “The deputy’s peace officer powers have been suspended and proper administrative action will be taken, based on the outcome of the investigation.”
