Five bicyclists were killed and at least four more were injured on Monday evening after a pickup truck crashed into a cycling group in southern Michigan, local broadcaster WOOD reported.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told the news outlet that children may be among the injured, although it was not clear if any children were killed.
Matyas told WOOD that the driver fled on foot after the collision but was later taken into custody.
