Since 2015, Issac Rodriguez has 74 charges against him, but between 2015-2020 he had only been picked up 17 times. That’s because each time he was arrested, he saw a jail cell for a short period of time.
This year, Rodriguez has taken advantage of the new no-bail system to the tune of 57 crimes. That includes petty stealing to assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the NY Post, Rodriguez’s style is blatant and he prefers Walgreens and Victoria’s Secret at his primary Queens targets.
Rodriguez apparently just enters the store with a bag, grabs the items he wants, and then walks out. Walgreens has a policy telling employees not to stop or confront thieves due to safety reasons.
Rodriguez is finally being held in jail after he attacked and stabbed a man with a knife as he tried to steal his cell phone.
According to an NYPD source, there are 77 other offenders with a list of crimes of 20 or more walking NYC streets.
Police say thieves are now using the system to their advantage.
