A child and two adults were found dead in their Southeast Austin home overnight in what is believed to be a triple homicide, according to Austin police early Tuesday.
Authorities at around 11:13 p.m. Monday responded to a call to check on the condition of those at a home in the 5800 block of Abby Ann Lane just south of Old Lockhart Road in Southeast Austin, police said.
A family member had called police worried that they had not heard from those who lived at the home in a while.
There, the officers noticed someone lying unresponsive inside the home and forced their way into the residence, according to officer Michael Bullock, a police spokesman.
Once inside, they found three people dead, the officer said. One of those individuals was a juvenile, according to authorities.
Investigators early Tuesday said there does not appear to be a continued threat to the public at this time.
