A Pa. homeowner awoke to a young, accused burglar standing over him, demanding money and wielding a cane.

“I want your money,” the 16-year-old accused burglar, Ricky Garcia of Allentown, is quoted in court documents as saying.

“I have no money for you,” replied the homeowner, who was not identified in the report by WFMZ 69 News.

The boy-allegedly-turned-burglar wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer during the 1:45 a.m. home invasion last week.

Instead, police say Garcia threatened to kill the homeowner before taking the man’s cane and beating him with it.

The victim suffered two large cuts to his head and possible fractures to his right arm and shoulder in the break-in last week, police told WFMZ.

Still, the homeowner soon recognized his attacker as police say Garcia lived on the same block of South Seventh Street in Allentown. The victim told police he’s known the boy for years, positively identifying Garcia as the intruder.

Garcia, who police say entered the house through an unlocked basement door, didn’t leave empty-handed. He allegedly grabbed the homeowner’s car keys and stole his Chevy Malibu.

His escape was short-lived, however.

At last report, he was jailed in Lehigh County on felony counts of robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, theft and criminal trespass, along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was unable to post $50,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing was set for July 10.
